About our planes
You can fly on board Czech Airlines planes on your missions. Our airline's fleet has 50 planes of various types -- from a small type of plane, called ATR, to a large Airbus, which will take you across the ocean. Lets have a look at our planes together.

ATRATR
This is the smallest type of plane in our fleet. We have twelve of them, and from Prague they can take you to Berlin, Bratislava, Hamburg, or Munich. This plane can carry up to 64 people, seated in two columns of two. The ATR can fly at speeds of up to 540 km/h. Compare that to the speed of the fastest animal on the planet, the peregrine falcon -- it would take him twice as long to fly the same distance. Without a touchdown, this airplane can fly 2,000 kilometres, which is like the distance from Prague to the capital of Spain, Madrid. ATRs are made in Southern France, and they are turbo propeller planes. That means that they are powered by two large propellers, which you will find on each wing. We have several types in our fleet: the ATR 72 -- 200, ATR 42 -- 500, and ATR 42 -- 320, which differ in size, range, and the weight that they can carry.

BoeingBoeing
The Boeing is a mid-sized American plane. We have 22 of them in total. From Prague, they fly to various places all over Europe, for example to Amsterdam, London, Sofia, or Paris. A Boeing can carry up to 162 passengers, who sit in the cabin in two columns of three. Our Boeings fly at 790 km/h. It would take a cheetah, the fastest mammal on Earth, eight times as long to cover the same distance. The maximum range of this plane is 3,200 kilometres, which is like from Prague all the way to Yekaterinburg, Damascus, or Casablanca! Boeings are made in the USA -- in Seattle. They are jet planes, which are powered by two large round engines which you can see on each wing. There are two types of Boeings in the Czech Airline's fleet: the 737 -- 400 and 737 -- 500. They differ in such things as the number of passengers that they can carry.

Airbus - A320Airbus - The A320 family
We are especially proud of these planes -- they are new to our fleet. We have twelve of them in total. They fly on mid-haul routes throughout Europe and to Northern Africa, and can carry up to 212 people (in two columns of three), and that is quite a lot! They fly at 850 km/h, and are the second fastest in our fleet. These planes can fly as far as 4,100 km, and that is some distance! Airbuses are made in Europe, their factories can be found, for example, in Germany, Spain, or England. The planes are then assembled like Lego, in Toulouse, in Southern France, and in Hamburg in Germany. Like the Boeing, this is a jet plane and also has two large round engines suspended from the wings. And, we have something extra for you! When you fly on this plane, you will be able to watch television and see where the plane is at the moment, what the temperature is outside, and learn lots of interesting information. We call the group of Airbus A320 planes a family, and have several types of them in our fleet: the A319, A320, and A321, which differ in size, the number of passengers that they can carry, and things of this sort.

Airbus - A310Airbus A310
This Airbus is the largest in our fleet, its wingspan is more than 46 metres. We have four of them in our fleet, and these are our only airplanes that fly across the ocean, all the way to America. They can carry up to 209 passengers, who sit in three columns separated by two aisles. This airplane can fly at up to 870 km/h, so in the same amount of time as this jet, the fast peregrine falcon would only fly one-third of the distance flown by this plane. The range it can cover is really great -- without a touchdown, it can fly up to 8,200 kilometres, so it has no problem getting to New York, Toronto, or Montreal. This airplane comes from France, and like the Boeing or the A320 family, it is a jet plane powered by large round engines, inside of which there is a turbine. To make sure you are not bored on board, we have films and fairytales prepared for you to look forward to. So, across the ocean we go!
